THE ROAD LESS TRAVELED
I wouldn’t say I am a fly by the seat of my pants kind of girl, I appreciate good planning, seamless execution, and efficiency but this day was different and stepping outside of my comfort zone lead my Dad and me to the top of the world. If you haven’t already read on the blog, my Dad and I took a road trip, just the two of us. We started in Boston, worked our way up the coast, into Maine, and eventually landed in New Hampshire. What an amazing trip. Not only did I learn so many fascinating stories from my Dad’s life, like him seeing Sammy Davis, Jr. perform in a lounge in Las Vegas while sitting next to then Senator Jack Kennedy; We got to experience new places together including the unplanned trip to the top of Mt. Washington. Tallest mountain in the North Eastern United States. Pretty much a terrifying drive up a mountain with no guard rails but the reward was worth the sweaty palms, increased heart rate, and general anxiety that filled the car. You never know what can happen if you just let go and see where life will take you. The Imagine Dragons (local favorite) say it so much better. Take a listen below.
